Teleporting Fat Guy is the fifteenth cartoon to air on Shut Up! Cartoons. The first episode came out on October 19, 2012 and ended on December 21, 2012. The show replaced Oishi Origins on its Friday line-up.
Description
Join Smosh hero Teleporting Fat Guy in his time-traveling quest to restore order to the Universe! Will Robbie Lee Phillips, Jr. learn to harness the magical Power Glove and defeat mustachioed menace Bart Reynolds? Tune in for a new ep every Friday on Shut Up! Cartoons to find out!
Characters
Robbie Lee Phillips, Jr.
Robbie is the main character. He is a fat, loving person with a teleporting glove, making him able to travel through time.
Oliver
Oliver is a robotic honey badger who is Robbie's sidekick. He is shown to love cake. Some viewers think his voice is strange.
Robbie Phillips
Robbie Phillips , Robbie's dad, was the one who gave Robbie the Power Glove. Bart Reynolds appears to have killed him and turned him into a pile of ashes, but he's alive and Bart Reynolds merely changed his form into a pile of ashes. To keep him safe, Robbie keeps his dad in a jar.
Bart Reynolds
Bart Reynolds is the main villain of the series. He has a magical moustache. He parodies real life Burt Reynolds. Feeling as if moustaches have been given a bad reputation, he teams up with world leaders with moustaches all throughout time, including Hitler, Genghis Khan, The Monopoly Guy And Chuck Norris.
Rachel Reynolds
Rachel Reynolds is Robbie's love interest. He has a hard time telling her his feelings, but his thought bubbles make it pretty obvious. She gets kidnapped by Bart Reynolds in case Robbie becomes a "badass time traveler." And She's The Daughter Of Burt Reynolds.
Sheng Woo
Sheng Woo is a mysterious robed figure that gave Robbie his own Power Glove. Sheng Woo then trains Robbie on how to use the Power Glove. In Episode 5: "A New Hope." After Robbie and Oliver notice that everything has a moustache while practicing the Power Glove's time travelling powers, Sheng Woo reveals his true identity.
Luigi
Luigi is the true identity of Sheng Woo after removing his hood. Luigi is the creator of the Power Glove and everyone, including Mario and Peach, thought it was stupid. Bart Reynolds was the only one who liked the idea and convinced Luigi to give it time travelling capabilities. What he didn't know was that Bart Reynolds used his Power Glove to form his Evil Mustache Gang. When he found out, Luigi took the Power Glove, hid it in a thrift store and went into hiding. Unfortunately, he was killed by Bart Reynolds, who managed to track him down, but it is unknown if he is really dead.
Mario
Mario Is The Brother Of Luigi.
Princess Peach
Princess Peach Is The Princess Of The Mushroom King And She's The Girlfriend Of Mario.
Reception
This was the only Shut Up! Cartoons Show created by Smosh until Smosh Babies and as such, the series has gained positive reception, stating how much they have loved the character in the original Teleporting Fat Guy video. Some were disappointed that Corey (the actor in the original video) did not reprise his role for the series and the fact that the song was not used as the series's theme song.
Some were also disappointed on the short length of each of the episodes, but most have enjoyed the twists the series have brought, with the revelation of Sheng Woo's true identity being the most shocking of them all.
