POKEMON IN REAL LIFE 2! is a Smosh video uploaded on June 17, 2011. It is the follow-up to Smosh's earlier video, POKEMON IN REAL LIFE! and the second installment in the Pokemon in Real Life Series.

Brief Synopsis: Ash continues his journey to capture Pokemon, but has to deal with many obstacles first.

Plot

Beginning

Ash (Anthony) is continuing on his journey to capture new Pokemon, when he walks in front of the same old man (Ian) from the previous video. At first, Ash thinks that the old man is going to challenge him to a battle. But the old man tells him that he's giving Ash an HM which contains the move Fly. Ash asks, "So if I taught this to a tiny little bird Pokemon, I'd be able to fly on its back or something?" The old man replies, "Anything is possible with Pokemon," then leaves while calling him a "stupid jackass." Ash starts to continue on his quest, only for a wild Pokemon to appear.

Wild Pokemon Encounter 1

Ash encounters a wild Mankey and checks the PokeDex entry. However, when the Pokedex says "Mankey," Ash insists it is a "Monkey." After a short argument on whether the Pokemon should be called "Mankey" or "Monkey," Ash throws the Pokedex aside and sends out Pikachu. Ash tells Pikachu to use Quick Attack, which lands a critical hit and puts Mankey's HP in the red zone, perfect for capture. Ash prepares his Poké Ball (not before being corrected by his Pokedex yet again, prompting Ash to shout, "Shut the f*** up!") and throws it. At first, the Mankey gets inside, but breaks out of the Pokeball, forcing Ash to try again. After 20 minutes, Ash still hasn't captured the wild Mankey, who becomes bored and leaves. Ash moves on on his journey, saying, "That Monkey may have tested my resolve, but I'm not gonna let that discourage me from-" only to experience yet another wild Pokemon encounter.

Wild Pokemon Encounter 2

To his surprise, Ash encounters a wild Charizard. Determined to capture it, Ash tells Pikachu to use "AK-47 Attack." At first Pikachu is confused, but Ash hands him a AK-47 and Pikachu starts firing. The shots from the AK-47 are super effective against the wild Charizard, who is now weakened enough to capture. Ash throws a Poké Ball at Charizard and nervously awaits the results as the Poké Ball starts to shake. The Poké Ball later stops shaking, and Ash captures Charizard.

Ending

As Ash is celebrating the capture of the Charizard, the Metrosexual Hipster (Ian) comes back and challenges Ash to a rematch. However, Ash doesn't want to battle the Metrosexual Hipster again, so he sends out his newly captured (and oddly rejuvinated) Charizard, and commands it to use Fly. But to his shock, Charizard can't learn Fly, despite having wings. The old man from earlier then flies by on a Pidgey, shouting, "WHOO PIDGEY, F*** YEAH!"

Trivia/Goofs

  • Since Charizard couldn't learn Fly despite having wings, it can be assumed that this video and the previous Pokemon in Real Life video take place in the Red and Blue versions, since Charizard couldn't learn Fly in the games despite being part flying type. However, Charizard is capable of using fly in later generations.
    • The reason was due to a glitch in those two games and was later fixed during the release of Pokémon Yellow.
  • Since Pikachu did heavy "super effective" damage on Charizard with AK-47 attack, it can be easy to say that the attack was Rock-Type attack, since Charizard is a Fire and a Flying type, both having a weakness to Rock.
  • Mankey appears in episodes of Lunchtime with Smosh, but only the suit. It is referred to as "Mankey's Carcass." It's a possibility that he's working with Barbershop Pole, as mentioned in "Dancing Pickle."
  • In this episode, Pikachu is played by a different person instead of Peter Peter, like in POKEMON IN REAL LIFE!
  • Around 1:16, you will see that Ash has 22 pokeballs, For 20 minute Ash was throwing pokeballs but when Ash was battling Charzard he still had at least 1 pokeball. It is estimated that he should have thrown at least 1 pokeball every 45 second, meaning that he should have none pokeball at all.
  • Everytime Ash says "Monkey" in any form of words, the PokeDex corrects him by saying "Mankey."
    • The PokeDex is voiced by Ian.
    • At the begging of the Video a message says "THIS VIDEO IS A PARODY.WE ARE NOT AFFILIATED WITH ENDORSED OR POKEMON. INSERT MORE LEGAL STUFF HERE."
