American River College (ARC) is a community college in Foothill Farms, California, in northern Sacramento County. The college was opened in 1955 as American River Junior College, on the site of the old Grant Technical College. It moved to its current location in 1958, and in 1965, the college became a part of the Los Rios Community College District and became American River College. Today, along with Cosumnes River College, Folsom Lake College and Sacramento City College, ARC is directed by a seven-member board of trustees elected by voters in the district.[1]
Ian and Anthony both attended this college after graduating from Del Campo High School. After two years of attendance, they dropped out because of their wish to focus on their online careers with Smosh, which, by that point, was already the most popular and financially successful channel on YouTube.
Cross Country[]
Ian ran cross country while attending ARC. He placed 7th in the 2006 Aggie Track & Field Open, Men 5000 Meter Dash event as well as 99th in the Cross Country Invitational 2006.
Trivia[]
- Most of the cast members in "New Year's Eve PSA" were members of Ian's ARC 2006 cross country team.
- Ian's cross country shirt can be seen in "How Not to Act on a First Date".
